Avoid Heavily Trafficked Surface Areas & Use Sanitizer
It’s not required that you break out hand sanitizer in every public appearance, just think about being mindful of heavily trafficked areas (door handles, grocery carts, cell phone screens). Make sure to think twice about touching these surfaces, use sanitizer before (when possible), and wash your hands after.
Get Vaccinated
Only unavailable to a select few (infants under 6 months old and people with severe allergies to it), the flu vaccine is highly recommended for assuring a flu-free season. For more info talk to your doctor or check out what the CDC has to say.
Drink Green Tea
Noted for a potent dose of polyphenols (micronutrients that act as antioxidants to play an important role in a person’s overall health and wellness), green tea has many health benefits. The steam from the tea can also activate the hair follicles in the nose (cilia) and helps move out germs.
Eat Raw Garlic
Not just for keeping vampires away! Raw garlic contains a component called Allicin, which is known as “Mother Nature’s Defender”. It can be used to kill bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, and yeasts that are thought to cause illness in the body.
Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle
Protect your immune system by getting enough sleep, drinking enough water, and moving everyday!
